With your membership you will receive a user ID and password for our exclusive memebers area linked to the New York Notary Association official website.  Here you will be able to view the lastest and previos newsletters keeping you appraised of critical issues that have a direct impact on you.  The newslwetter will tell you true stories of fellow NYS Notaries who got in trouble to fight your natural tendency for compacency!  It is unfortunate that the NYS Secretary of State's Division of Licensing Services does not update Notary Publics when new statutes are passed (and they are passed continually).  For example soon we will all be required to be bonded (have insurance) yet nobody has been notified.  Most other states have and soon NYS will have a requirement for "continuing education" and the association will fulfill that need for its members with an accredited online review course in the convienience of your home self paced if you need a day out of the office there will be accreditted workshops in local hotel conference rooms.  In addition to the aforementioned educational services the NYS Notary Association membership will allow you to purchase supplies seen on this website at an additional 15% discount.  The Association will have an annual meeting with review workshops, special speekers of interest and some fun events planned.
